Այսօր իր ծննդյան 75-ամյակն է նշում  Գերաշնորհ Տեր Խաժակ Արքեպիսկոպոս Պարսամյանը՝ Հայ Առաքելական Սուրբ Եկեղեցու նվիրյալ սպասավորներից մեկը, որի հոգևոր, ազգային և դիվանագիտական առաքելությունը տասնամյակներ շարունակ կարևոր դեր է ունեցել հայ եկեղեցական և համայնքային կյանքի զարգացման գործում։

Ծնված լինելով 1951 թվականի հուլիսի 4-ին Արևմտյան Հայաստանի Արաբկիր քաղաքում՝ Խաժակ Պարսամյանը դեռ պատանի հասակից ընտրեց հոգևոր ծառայության ճանապարհը։ Նա կրթություն ստացավ Ստամբուլի Սուրբ Խաչ ճեմարանում, ապա՝ Երուսաղեմի Սուրբ Հակոբյանց միաբանության Ժառանգավորաց ճեմարանում։ 1971 թվականին ձեռնադրվեց կուսակրոն քահանա, 1973 թվականին ստացավ վարդապետական աստիճան, իսկ հետագայում իր աստվածաբանական գիտելիքները հարստացրեց ԱՄՆ-ի և Եվրոպայի հեղինակավոր կրթական հաստատություններում։

Նրա ծառայության կարևորագույն փուլերից մեկը սկսվեց 1990 թվականին, երբ ընտրվեց Ամերիկայի Հայոց Արևելյան թեմի առաջնորդ։ Մոտ երեք տասնամյակ նա առաջնորդեց թեմը՝ համախմբելով հավատացյալներին, խթանելով կրթական, մշակութային և բարեգործական նախաձեռնությունները, ամրապնդելով Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցու հեղինակությունը և խորացնելով միջեկեղեցական համագործակցությունը։

2018 թվականից Խաժակ Արքեպիսկոպոս Պարսամյանը ծառայում է որպես Արևմտյան Եվրոպայի Հայրապետական պատվիրակ և Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցու ներկայացուցիչ Սուրբ Աթոռում՝ շարունակելով իր պատասխանատու առաքելությունը միջազգային եկեղեցական և դիվանագիտական շրջանակներում։ Նրա գործունեությունը մշտապես ուղղված է եղել երկխոսության, խաղաղության, քրիստոնեական արժեքների պահպանման և աշխարհասփյուռ հայության միասնականության ամրապնդմանը։

«Նիդերլանդական օրագիրը» առանձնահատուկ գնահատանքով է վերաբերվում Նորին Գերաշնորհի հետ ձևավորված համագործակցությանը։ Տարիների ընթացքում Սրբազան Հայրը մշտապես ցուցաբերել է բաց, անմիջական և վստահելի վերաբերմունք՝ կարևորելով հայկական լրատվամիջոցների դերը սփյուռքում ազգային ինքնության, եկեղեցական կյանքի և համազգային արժեքների պահպանման գործում։ Նրա աջակցությունն ու պատրաստակամությունը հնարավորություն են տվել մեր ընթերցողին ներկայացնելու ոչ միայն պաշտոնական իրադարձությունները, այլև Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցու առաքելության խորքային գաղափարներն ու արժեքները։

Այս փոխադարձ վստահության վրա հիմնված համագործակցությունը մեզ համար մեծ պատասխանատվություն և պատիվ է։ Այն ևս մեկ անգամ վկայում է, որ եկեղեցին և պատասխանատու լրատվամիջոցը կարող են միասին ծառայել նույն նպատակին՝ հայ մարդու, հայ համայնքի և ազգային արժեքների պահպանմանն ու զորացմանը։

 Գերաշնորհ Տեր Խաժակ Արքեպիսկոպոս Պարսամյանի 75-ամյա հոբելյանը միայն անձնական տոն չէ։ Այն առիթ է արժևորելու մի ամբողջ կյանքի ծառայություն, որը նվիրված է եղել Աստծուն, Հայ Եկեղեցուն և հայ ժողովրդին։

His Eminence Archbishop Khajag Barsamian Celebrates His 75th Birthday

Today, His Eminence Archbishop Khajag Barsamian celebrates his 75th birthday. He is one of the devoted servants of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church, whose spiritual, national, and diplomatic ministry has played a significant role in the development of Armenian ecclesiastical and community life for decades.

Born on July 4, 1951, in Arabkir, Western Armenia, Archbishop Barsamian chose the path of spiritual service from an early age. He received his education at the Holy Cross Seminary in Istanbul and later at the Seminary of the Brotherhood of St. James in Jerusalem. He was ordained a celibate priest in 1971, earned the rank of Vartabed (Archimandrite) in 1973, and subsequently continued his theological studies at distinguished academic institutions in the United States and Europe.

One of the most significant chapters of his ministry began in 1990, when he was elected Primate of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of America. For nearly three decades, he faithfully led the Diocese, uniting the faithful, promoting educational, cultural, and charitable initiatives, strengthening the mission of the Armenian Apostolic Church, and fostering ecumenical and interchurch relations.

Since 2018, Archbishop Khajag Barsamian has served as the Pontifical Legate for Western Europe and Representative of the Armenian Apostolic Church to the Holy See, continuing his important mission within international ecclesiastical and diplomatic circles. Throughout his ministry, he has consistently worked to promote dialogue, peace, Christian values, and the unity of Armenians throughout the world.
